Just checked the temp on the back porch....+2 F. or for those up north that's -11 C. Have to warm up the Cub to push the snow off of the drive, not really looking forward to it. Goose

I messed up...it was +12 F. that is the same as -11 C.
Either way I froze my toes and fingers off clearing snow, the wind makes it tough. Wish I was down in Florida. Goose

Froze toes and fingers off clearing off driveway... Heck -11c.. that's when we wear shorts and sandals to shovel snow off driveway...when its -25c that's when we think about mitts and touges..

Friday I had -22 on the way to work.  I mentioned to the wife that walking to the truck in the afternoon with it -5 was like a spring walk.  It is awful how fast we seem to adapt.

You all are in a different country it was 81* in SW Florida today. Tomorrow night though we are expecting 38* for a low temp. Our banana trees might not do so well with that cold of weather. Ouch  David and Danette

This is what touques are, and this is the official Canadian spelling.

Thanks for the educational lesson Marwayne.  We feel quite fortunate in Northern lower peninsula of Michigan.  Here, in the banana belt we are getting tropical breezes off Lake Michigan which are keeping our temperatures quite comfortable at + 14 F.  Yes we have lots of snow but am not going to complain about cold temps!

-1.5 F and 0 F on my back porch this morning (two thermometers), and the truck said it was -3 when I first got in, then -5 a mile from my house.  Some schools closed, some late, in my area.

Thanks marwayne for educating me on touques, knit stocking hats.
It is clear to see that you made the kids pose outside so long that they froze up like POP-SICLES.       Goose
