I bought a 2010 R173 a year ago. This month, I'm having the axle risers installed. I've read some of your posts and see that the Dome awning will be affected. Is there anything else? I want to make sure that I am prepared for the changes. Thanks in advance!!!

You will have to raise your hitch ball to match the increased height of the pod coupler.

... unless raising the pod leaves the tongue level or slightly nose-down (either is correct).

When I installed my risers, it raised the frame 4 inches. I had to raie my hitch 2 holes (4") to keep the pod level when hitched. You are right, if the trailer was not level to begin with.

I had to lower my hitch before to accommodate the r-pod. I am sure that I will have to raise it if just a little.

Your step will also be affected.

You might want to use some 4x4 blocks to raise the front ends of the dome long pole. That will raise the dome to a level condition. The side grey panels are a bit short but at learnt the dome is level.
