I've been reading a lot about owners  recommendations for accessories for the R-pods. I have seen many great ideas on various subjects and many I want to do myself.  The one thing I haven't seen are recommendations for outdoor mats. I'm curious what everyone uses for ground cover or floor within the R-dome. I've seen rugs, artificial turf, breathable mats. What is the best option considering weight, cleaning, storage for travel and where to get them? What is everyone's thoughts?

Outside we have an accordion fold straw-type-material mat (you can buy them at any RV store. Ours is 9 x 12, which fits inside the R-dome if we fold one section and is really large when we don't have the R-dome set up. That's why we like these mats - they have fold seams. They come in a variety of sizes and cost about $75. Sweep off or hose off well. For the inside, we found a rug runner at Walmart that fits from the door to the slide perfectly and states clearly that it is machine washable (we've washed it many times in a regular washer, and it comes out beautifully every time). They also have the rug that matches for the sink area. It has a little ridge pattern, comes in neutral beige colors and has a rubber backing. Very inexpensive.

We ordered one online last fall from carefreemats.com, very happy with it and them, was $40 or so. We did 6x9, came with carry bag, stakes, mallet.

Indoors we have the rare, (no longer available) factory carpet.

We bought our two sided outdoor rug at Walmart.  It is light and has fold lines and fits in the rPod basement. We also bought a small folding table from Walmart. We put pvc extensions on the legs and it fits over the wheel fender…you can see that in this photo, too.

Thanks for the replies.  I was thinking of how to store a mat for travel.  I like the straw mats if they cleanup  welland that may work for me. My thought is if I can find a mat that will roll up small enough to slide in a piece of 4" PVC pipe and then fasten it under the POD frame like the sewer hose storage pipe. Anyone know of any mats that meet that criteria??

We have 6x9ft weave mat from wally mart.  6' lenght is just right to roll it onto a 3/4in dowel bungee cord that, then bungee cord that onto the tounge between battery and pod.  Then drill a hole in each end of the dowel to have a bungee cord going end to end so the dowel will not slip out. The 6ft lenght stays within the width of the pod. You don't have to put dirty, muddy, or wet mat in trailer or tow vehicle.  Have used this method last 2 years  works great.  Have posted pictures of this on the facebook.  Had them here also but they disappeared some how.

I picked up one at Dollar General. It is light weight, rolls easily, and has a carrying strap. It isn't that large, but it is big enough.
