| Can someone please tell me the best way to gain access to the water pump in a 175. It is under the couch in the far left corner. This is my first time to winterize the little guy and the forum tells me I have to bypass the hot water heater at the water pump. Thanks in advance. Not really looking forward to hibernating from the pod. |

Welcome. Someone else will have to answer about the location. However, you have things a little confused. After draining the water heater you'll bypass it using the valves mounted just behind it. The water pump is where you'll find the antifreeze intake hose - with a valve to switch between that hose and the fresh water tank down below (which should also be drained first).

| Thanks Doug. I misspoke, I have already drained the water heater. I am trying to figure out how to access the pump so I can bypass the water heater and pump in the anti freeze. I read that the bypass hose and hose pump are actually accessed through the bed by having to cut into the board under the mattress. Before I undertake that chore I sure would like to know how other 175 owners have accomplished this job. |

You seem to be confused about the names of things.. You BYPASS the water heater with the 3 valves located on the back of the water heater. Once you have the water heater bypassed, you go to the water pump, and depending on what system your pod has, you may pull out a line, stick it in the anti freeze bottle, turn ANOTHER valve so it "points at the bottle" line, and turn on the pump, to draw in the anti freeze, or you may have to unscrew the line from the FW holding tank, and screw in a drop line, or, you may not have a factory installed winterization line. No matter where the WH and pump are, NO cutting is involved. This is on a 177.. but here is a picture of the pump and winterization valve and line..  And here is a picture.. again from a 177, of the water heater, and you can see on the back of it the 3 valves that are used to bypass it.  ------------- |
