Hi, we will be picking up our 177 HRE from the dealer in a few weeks and plan to head out for a few days to try it out. I was wondering about the sewer hose. I’ve seen where a longer carrier tube is one of the first mods. If I use the one that comes with the trailer how long of hose should I buy? If someone has a setup they like let me know where to order one. I will need the hose and all adaptors needed.

I have the water hose, filter and pressure regulator. I will have a battery and propane tank. Anything else I may need to have the trailer functioning. We will be in southern Ca. at Rv. Parks. No dry camping yet.

The original storage tube is sized for a 10' hose, which is often not long enough to hook up in many campgrounds. I would carry at least another 10' length to attach to the one in the tube. We still do this, not having added a longer storage tube. We store the extra hose, fittings, etc. in a sealed plastic storage bin. Also, if you're picking up a new pod, most dealers set you up with some meager quality set up supplies (sewer hose, water hose, TP, etc.). Also, be careful, as the supplied tube is not large enough in length and circumference to hold many quality hoses and their needed end fitting and couplers.

If you are going to be camping where you want to utilize a full-hookup then you definitely want a longer sewer hose, and probably the elevation brackets that keep it held up off the ground. If all you are going to do is empty the tanks at the end of your camping trip at a dump station, which is what we have done everytime, the original hose is long enough to handle that task.
