looks like some kind of a 14 gauge connector, maybe they are made that way for slide installation. perhaps the slide is built with the wiring and male and female connectors and they when they are assembled they are connected. just a guess.

Definitely electrical ... where do the wires go to coming out the other side of them, to the left of the picture?

It is the interface between the intrailer wiring and the outside connection, according to an RV tech I asked yesterday.
