The local media here in Utah is reporting that all 5 national parks and recreation areas will open this Saturday. The state is loaning money to the NPS to operate. It is a great time to visit southern Utah..

There was a report this morning I saw that the Fed will not pay back the "loan", and that if the state pays to re-open the parks it will be out of their pocket period.  I hope that they still go through with it as I know having them closed during this peak period of the season is hurting financially to a lot of folks that depend on the tourists for income.

Too bad time and money is an object.  Unhappy
In 2011 we drove out to Utah and stayed a week in a KOA Kabin in Cannonville near Bryce Canyon N P.  Great trip, we plan on going back. We did Colorado N M, Gateway Canyon (western Colorado)   Four Corners, Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado,  Bryce Canyon N P, Scenic Hwy 12, Cedar Breaks NM, Capital Reef NP, Flaming Gorge NRA and more.
That trip was one of the things that lead us down the road to the R Pod.Wink
