Don't forget:

From nps.gov and the Department of The Interior website; Because of the federal government shutdown, all national parks are closed and National Park Service webpages are not operating.

I think there are additional closures, so you should probably check out your destination. We were planning on going to Sequoia and/or Yosemite in a couple of weeks.

Crazy, we pay taxes to employ these public servants, I understand no staffing, but the
parks should stay open. Plenty of state and county parks to visit up here in Idaho.
Most are dry camping from mid October to May and free!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
