My boyfriend and I have the now extinct 151 and have been toying with the idea of removing the small bathroom.  The toilet is rarely used and the shower has never been used.  A bathroom wasn't even on our "gotta have" list when looking for a camper.  Anyhoo, the dinette has never been used as a dinette and is a permanent bed, but it sure would be nice to have a small table to sit and eat at when the weather is dreary.  So, my thought was to remove the bathroom and install a small shelf/table in that space where we could get our grub on without getting crumbs in the bed.

Reasoning aside, can anyone clue me into the logistical issues with this?  I know that plumbing/electrical/etc are run under that space.  Has anyone gotten a wide hair to do this kind of project?

I know that some will shirk at the idea of no toilet, but it's our normal camping experience.  I just want a heads up on logistical items.

Personally, I've posted about making the wet bath more like the ones in popups.  Cutting the walls down just above the toilet height, using a large shower curtain for walls when it is in use, and putting a hard cover over the whole thing when not in use.  It would really open it up but retain the original functionality.  Not sure if this would meet your needs for dining, but the hard top could be used as a table.
