Hi all

We purchased a used 2011, 177 a couple months ago. We were looking for a hard sided rig and didn't really want  the A-Liner style.  We were actually looking more long range at a new one in a year or two but there does not appear to be a lot of R-Pods within a reasonable distance so when we found this one we jumped.Wink

So far we've done a couple nights driveway camping and two road trips.  The first was a four day three night trip about a 140 miles into the western UP of Mich. (We're in NW Wis) We went to Union Bay Campground in the east end of the Porkies. It was the real hot weather in the week before Labor Day. The air conditioner works quite well, noisy, but when it's 95 out, who cares!

Our second trip we did two nights, Sept 20-22 in a nice township park that's sort of hooked in with the Apostle Islands National Lake Shore about a fat hour from home.  That trip we took our 82 lb furball Brewer with (Chocolate Lab mix) . It went quite well except Brewer isn't used to seeing many other dogs so it was kind of a trial to get him to settle down. He's just friendly and curious.  It's a nice campground with about 35 RV sites and maybe half that many tent sites right on Lake Superior with a small boat safe harbor.  There were only about a half dozen of us in the campground so it was nice and peaceful.  The low camper population made for a nice introduction to camping for Brewer.

We are new to RV type camping. This forum has been invaluable for learning about Podding.  We did some tent camping when we were younger (early 80s) and then for the last three years we have stayed in a KOA Kamper Kabins and were rebitten by the camping bug.
So here were are, Podding along.   Smile

Welcome. It is always good to see another Wisconsin pod family. We are in SE Wisconsin, so about as far away as we can get and still be in the state.
