Thanks for all the advice and help on the 7 pin issue. I guess I was somewhat nervous with a BMW's engineering and wiring systems given that they charge $$$$$$$$to ascertain problem and fix it even thought brand new I am sure they would try to blame it non the TT .

PS Actually when I looked at the 7 pin cover on the BMW the wiring diagram was stamped on the cover and it looks like the same as info on this site was given to us.
