Has anyone installed a cb in their pod. Looking for Ideas on antenna location. I'm thinking about using the rear hitch as a possible location. Any thoughts or ideas welcome. Bill

ground plane is going to be an issue wherever you install it. You are going to have to install an antenna with the ground plane built into the antenna elements. You could probably mount it on the rear hitch or on the TV antenna Mount.

I put a steel whip on the spare tire mount and it worked great.  The SWR was fine also.

In reading up on mounts for amateur radios, receivers/hitches are mentioned as a bad choice because it throws a lot of the radiated energy into the ground.  Can't beat it as a secure mount and w/o any modification necessary to the vehicle, though.
