Hi there,
Anything but the stock "mattress" will suffice! We purchased the short queen 8 inch memory foam mattress off Amazon for our 177. I waited until I saw one come up in the wear house clearance area then took a risk! It ended up costing 280.00 instead of 340.00 and shipped for free, arrived in perfect shape and we are loving it.
