Just got back from our first week-end away with our 2014 R-Pod 178 with my wife Liz, teenage daugter and our golden retriever Lily.
As I mentioned in another post, I picked Voyageur Provincial Park which is half-way between Ottawa and Montreal as a good initial test. Easy highway driving and a pull-through campsite. Still did all the newbie things when I arrived tho' - pulled onto the site and realized that the slide-out was on the wrong side. Then discovered that I had carefully packed the level under the u-shaped dinette which meant that I had to toss cushions everywhere to get to it. Took ages to figure out why the electricty wasn't working until I read the instructions on the surge protector.
 Voyageur has 416 campsites, of which 110 have electrical service. The sites are set in a variety of landscapes from private, wooded lots to open fields with a view. We were in site 26, but when we go back we would choose 81, 79, 83 and 85 as the best electrical sites, and 91 and 89 as the best non-electric sites. All have really nice views of Champlain Bay.
Took a short side trip to Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. in Vankleek Hill to pick up some of their fine brew and a couple of glasses in case any of you decide to join us next time. Cheers,

Hi David
We are heading to the Voyageur next weekend and have booked site 82 for one night. We have stayed there before and like the park. For us it is a logical stop when travelling to the east coast. We are on our way to the Gaspe' then on to PEI We will be on the road for about 2.5 weeks. Ed ------------- Trees love to toss and sway; they make such happy noises. Always a good idea to make notes of the best sites as you go to new campgrounds, and keep a notepad handy for other things you need to get or pack next time. Sounds like you had a good trip.

We took our second trip to Voyageur Provincial Park from Wednesday to Saturday so that our younger daughter could camp with her friend from Montreal.
Imagine our surprise when another R-Pod pulled up beside us as we were registering. It was CARR-POD on their way back from their 2 and 1/2 week trip to the Gaspe and PEI (see Ed's post above). They were only staying one night but we had a wonderful time meeting them.
