When: Wednesday September 18th - Sunday September 22 Where: Green River Lake State Park, Campbellsville Kentucky MoosePod is at site #85. Some other Podders and Friends may have booked sites close to us already. LOL.. I don't think it will get built that fast.. we were told 8 weeks from order date..we won't commit until after the F.R.O.G. We didn't book last night, will have a short meeting soon to see who is committing.. ------------- |

Have my site 84 reserved. Looking forward to camping off the ground and in my own trailer. This way Tank will not wake up the others in the camper.

Was a great time!! Ton of rain (3 inches or so), almost all of it fell while we slept It was great to see everybody again, great time around the campfire, and great fellowship and food. The unleader even drank a couple canned beers.. ------------- |

The minimini continues to happen annually..The host will announce the location, schedule, dates, and reservation steps, once he works it out... EDIT to add.. and hopefully I won't get in trouble.. Most of the rallies are now staged and planned over on the FB group now. If you facebook, ask to join https://www.facebook.com/groups/RPodOwners/ - FB Group. I think there are already a dozen or more rallies scheduled over there right now. This years ERU, the longest running rally, since '09, is in northern Alabama, in June, still some sites open.. ------------- |

Thanks Furpod for such an early morning reply! But yes the MiniMini will happen each year, we're working out 2018 and 2019s Event is already being worked on as well. I've been debating dropping Facebook since it does not have any sort of topic categories and message threads that can be easily followed like here. Also, the signal to noise ratio is getting worse every time I go there with more and more useless clickbait videos. The problem is.. with almost 9,000 members in that group, a very large percentage of them are not here, and most of the people posting and hosting rallies are in that group of "never been here." I agree, I like the forum style better, BUT.. most people feel forum format is pretty much done.. FB, Twitter, etc.. they are the future.. as much as we may not like it. ------------- |

The worst part s that there is no ability to search. The same question gets asked repeatedly because there is easy way to look for topics that have already been answered unless someone makes a file with an answer and people actually look there. The "future" is not always better. However, we have to live with it. Travis and I try to cross post at least some of it.. (ERU, Goshen, and Minimini, granted, these are rallies we either always, or most of the time attend or host) BUT, for instance, right now, in the FB group "events" section, there are more than a dozen hosted events, a quick look shows me, NONE of those hosts are members here.. So for "someone" to cross post all the event/reservation/news from more than a dozen rally pages, would in fact, be "much" to do for that someone.. It has been mentioned "over there" several times, that this forum is here, and that there are people who would like to know about the rallies and meet ups.. (probably comes up close to weekly) BUT.. among other things, most rallies over there fill in hours to days, so in their mind, why bother? no one over here they know or interact with. Believe it or not FB isn't any more evil then any other part of the internet. I know podders who only use FB for that one thing/page. Sure the same questions come up pretty often, and the search function doesn't work as well as a regular forum build.. But you skip over the questions/discussions you don't want to be a part of, and help where you do.. just like here. The difference of course being there are literally a thousand posts a day over there. Heck, I am still a member of one of the oldest "newsgroups" on the web, a great, but nearly unusable as compared to modern functionality, university hosted tandem bicycle group. The group went live in '95... I feel the pain. But.. it is what it is. ------------- |
