Hello all,my name is Jared. The wife and I have been toying with the idea of getting a small RV to tow behind our '13 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited when we go offroading and such. We went to a local dealer and discovered the 172, it fits our need perfectly I think.
We have 2 kids that will be with us all the time and a couple of smaller dogs that will join us on some trips.

Welcome it will be great to have another Jeep driver. I hope when you said it would be great to have the trailer when you go offroading you didn't mean to tow the trailer off road. The new hood river edition might look like an off road vehicle but looks are deceiving.

Welcome..
and as said.. if true offroading is the plan.. I hate to say it.. the Pod will not hold up to that at all.
The only one I would recommend from what I have seen is the http://www.livinlite.com/jeep-camper-overview.php - LivinLite Jeep popup..

Welcome. Plan on keeping the off-roading light-weight if you get a pod. Even with risers it is fairly low to the ground, for starters.

Good catch though, I'm sure somebody's tried to drag a Pod down the trail.

Thats what I figured but there have been people who have suggested it.

Yup, so it wouldn't have surprised me if you were going to do it. Glad to hear you aren't!

So we finally pulled the trigger! We'll go pick it up Monday and hit the road for her maiden voyage on Friday! We're just heading an hour and a half down the interstate this time, but the next trip will to the offroad park to go wheeling with the Jeep (sans Pod).

Well, she's snugly parked on our driveway now. Here she is still hooked up to my Jeep, we hauled her home in true Jeep style, Topless!
