We will have a few days on our 'long drive home' this summer and are thinking about spending a few days in the Colorado Springs area. We are looking for camping recommendations. Garden of the Gods Campground seems like it might work (central to sites, pool for kids), but the Cheyenne Mountain State Park also seems like a possibility, but no pool. We are happy to hunt for river/lake access to play in the water. Any comments/suggestions?
