For the first time since before Christmas I was able to get to and open up the Pod today.  The snow is going down, and I dug a path to the Pod.  All is fine I am very pleased to see.  We had no rodentia of any kind moving in for the winter.  It looks and smells just like it did in the fall.

I ordered my risers earler in the week, and I hope within a few weeks to have them on and the Pod de-winterized and ready to camp.  I can hardly wait!  I suppose I will spend some time over the weekend in the Pod...

Keith/Dar, I almost took the cover off of our 176 today, the sky was blue full of puffy white clouds, 53 degrees, birds singing. After watching the news and weather and they are talking about rain Sunday, snow flurries Tuesday and maybe Wednesday, 29 Tuesday morning. I left the cover on.

We're getting closer to getting the Pods back on the road. It was 60 degrees here today, breezy, but nice. Really hoping to take out the Pod next weekend. We'll see...

Must be nice!   Got to take a peek inside our barn at the 177 and hope for warmer temps.  Still wading through 1.5 foot of snow and right now we have snow coming down at a pretty nasty clip at 35 degrees.  Rats, this global warming!

Cover came off yesterday. Moved her to the summer (easier to park) position. She is clean and shinny and raring to go. I did some simple walk around checks. I have not yet de winterized as I will wait until closer to taking off as we have some tricky weather in April. I did notice one disturbing thing. I upgraded from a group 24 battery to a group 27. I had to change the battery cases as the 27 won't fit in the 24 case. Apparently the lid did not seal correctly and the battery box was 2/3 full of water due to no drain holes in the bottom. I can't believe I didn't check it when I changed the battery box. Check your battery box and add some drain holes.

Cover came off yesterday here too (Laramie,WY) after which the temp dropped fast and it started drizzle

Good news is that everything inside looks like it weathered the Winter well. Battery is at full charge and all lights (converted them to LED) work. Opened ceiling vent and ran the fan up to full speed. The dryer sheets I had laying around and inside all cabinets really kept things smelling fresh. Nice to have daylight coming through the windows.

No plans to move the Pod quite yet as we still often have some pretty nasty snaps of weather here until the end of May.

I had to move this week...btw...does anything suck more?  So I had to take off the cover and tow her to the new house.  Opened her up, all was good after a very long winter.  I have the FR factory cover, did its job nicely.  Can't wait to camp.

This last weekend I went out and  checked on the Pod.  No mice, yay!  Decided to wait a couple of more weeks before flushing out the RV pink.  However, I just listened to the weather forecast for this week (Central MN).  Another 4 inches of snow expected...the yard was nearly snow free. Anyone know how to mount snow skis on a Pod?  Probably the only way we are going to be able to use it this year

Yeah...found a good deal on a nice custom house.  Rented my old one, hopefully long-term it will pay off.

I now lust after homes with garage doors tall enough to house the Pod. Will fiancĂ© place garage door height over closet & kitchen space?  Hmmmmm......

Lil sweet pea pod, I know, Donna and I saw a house about 6 months ago that was perfect. It was basically pole barn construction with metal siding and standing seam metal roof. the interior of the house was conventional frame and dry wall, modern interior, but the back had dual 12 foot drive through doors with concrete floors, lighting, water. Perfect house, man cave, r.v. drive through . Looking good. Huuumm how much will that cost ????

This house has 1850 sq.ft. of garage space...a total of 5.5 garages.  Bigger than my previous home.  NOT ONE of them tall enough to store the Pod.  One was a custom work room, two car door, it is 24x38.  Only a 10ft. Door.  So close, so sad.  Perhaps I can upgrade someday.  Hoping one will fit my pontoon barge...that will save some storage $$$.  I was really hoping.  Oh well, man cave will be sweet once I'm done.

If you have the vertical space, its just a matter of moving the header up and putting in a longer door.  I know - not cheap and not as easy as that, but not impossible if you have the room to go up.

My way is to will Marwayne down here for the Mod!!!!

I have already been looking into it.  The only issue of course is money.  Money of course will solve the way and will get it done.  Now...need to save up some $$$.

We saw an RPod in Georgia last year that was modified to fit into a garage. The guy put the TV antenna back by the spare tire and then he put in an air conditioner in the side. He had to let the air out a little in his tires, but he got it to fit into the garage. His association did not allow RVs to be parked in driveways. I have no idea what he did with the holes in the roof!
