At Manatee Springs State Park in Chiefland, Florida.

Out-of-state all license plates all around, enjoying this January respite-  60's in the morning, (no problem for
our little WalMart ceramic heater), and high 70's in the afternoon.  No manatees in the spring, alas, but
otherwise a terrific couple of days for us and the Campin' Cocker Spaniels.

For some reason, maybe some seasonal retraction to the thicket, ala Bambi, the deer we were used to
seeing at dawn and dusk were absent.  We hope they were otherwise occupied and content.

We had a new patio carpet which turned out to be terrific!  It virtually filled the R-Dome except for a
little bit, and swept clean upon tear-down for our next trip.

The R-Pod achieved several compliments, including the couple in the next site who said they had been
downsizing and downsizing, looking for a later-in-life trailer.  (Theirs was still about 28', so the 'Pod
could work!)  The lady liked it!  (Don't know about the guy.....)

Next outing in Feb.  Very likely to Manatee Springs again.  Horray for Florida!

It sounds like you had a great time!  There is a cold front coming in a day or 2.  We have had 9 days in a row of 80* or better.  Gotta love that kind of January temps!!

Coopercdkey, Donna and I are so jealous, I went out about 2 hours ago with my little cart and got a load of wood in for the night. I looked to my right and the Little Pod (covered with factory cover) was white with about 3/4 inch of a combination of snow and sleet. Will it ever get warm again ? It was 29 this morning as I went to get the paper and down a cup of coffee before going to work. I like a fire in the fire place (which I have now) but I like a fire in the camp fire ring better. OOHHHH the humanity. Its not fair. my wife says stop whinning. Its tough waiting on spring.

Nope.  One deer, no manatees.  Two huge tom turkeys.

Lots of dogs, including the Campin' Cocker Spaniels.  Every site in sight had a pup or two.  No
confrontations, and very few barking incidents.  The yapper in the neighboring site tried to be
obnoxious, but the owners shushed him every time.

Sounds like a fun trip.  Manatee springs SP is on our list.  I think all your deer have moved up here.  They've gone so far as to get up on the deck to eat plants.
