Pod Along (formerly Podder) has been repaired and we are ready for our next adventure. Headed to New Braunfels on Christmas Eve for 9 days. Luckily winter in Texas usually doesn't hit until January/February. It's been in the 70's this week (sorry to rub it in).

Pod Along had to be repaired after the driver side wheel shredded on our first trip and tore out the wheel well and electric brake wiring. Took her to her original home (May's RV in Lewisville, Tx) and they did a great job. The cost was much less than we had anticipated!

This will be Pod Along's first trip since the repairs and I'm sure he is as ready to get out as we are.

It was 14 Degrees F today in New Brunswick Canada. I spent a year in East Texas in 1984 and as far as I was concerned Texas did not have a winter. Just a long fall.

Did the dealership cover all of those repairs?  Sounds either like a defective tire from the factory, or the tire wasn't fully inflated (which usually leads to failure).

Seanl, parts of Texas have plenty of winter, trust me!  It would even make a NBer shiver!

R and S, Merry Christmas!

Unfortunately we could not prove it was a defective tire vs under inflation. We keep a close eye on the inflation, but who knows. We had some warranty work and other items added while Pod Along was in the shop so they helped us out on the cost. Over all we were pleased.

Sounds like you're back in action and all geared up to go.  I'm getting the itch to be podding but we have family coming to town for the holidays so we're not going anywhere till late January or early February.
