SmileSmileNext week is Thanksgiving-  big time at the condo's that we manage- but the week after!  We're off to Gamble Rogers State Park in Flagler Beach, Florida.

I know that the 30's are not cold by many standards, but those of us who have been down here for a while, (25 years for us, from New England), the blood does in fact thin out.
Therefore, I spent a few hours with the 'Pod this morning making sure that I understood the heating options.

I'm pretty sure that the compact ceramic heater I bought at WallyWorld will be fine, but the "furnace" is always an option- hopefully not necessary.

While sleeping, the Campin' Cocker Spaniels will make sure that it's at least a "Two Dog Night"!

Smile

Don't jinx us Keith!  I am always conflicted this time of year.  I love autumn and fall camping is the best.  Plus the Packers are playing football...love it.

But...it also means old man winter is ready to pounce any moment.  No camping, no boat on the lake....just freakin' cold!

Oh well, it ain't easy being cheesey.

I have never been into winter sports.  Winter would go faster if I took up ice fishing, or snowmobiling, or drinking or something.

Let me know how that works out for you.  I do need a hobby for the non-camping season...

If you get into premium bourbons.. it's as expensive as vintage campers and boats.. but tastes better.

(having a snit of Eagle Rare 17 right now..)

When we were in New England we took up downhill skiing just to save our sanity.  It's amazing the difference in
your outlook when you start hoping for the weather that used to make you the most miserable!

The 'apres ski' is also a good time to cultivate your drinking hobby....

We are also headed to Florida after Thanksgiving.  We are staying at Fort Wilderness in Disney for three days then heading to St. Augustine for 2 days.

It's now Monday, Nov. 26, and after work this evening we'll be headed out to the barn to hitch up and
bring the 'Pod into town.  We'll plug into the house and get the fridge cooling down,  load up the
clothes and groceries,  and be ready to hit the road about 9:45 in the morning.  That should put
us in Flagler Beach just about 1:00 pm check-in time.

This morning it was 46 deg. on the Gulf coast.  It's usually about 10 deg. cooler inland, and I don't
know what effect being on the Atlantic coast has.  Usually a little bit warmer by the water.

No problems expected.  We will be snug in the 'Pod when we want, and out in some chilly but beautiful
weather most of the time.

Wow, I didn't realize that the temperatures would be that chilly in November on Florida.

That does seem cool for FL, but the whole East Coast has been below normal the last few days.
