I have done all the research and decided an r pod is the perfect match for my wife and me and we are ready to purchase. We currently have a Buick Enclave and I believe this car can tow the r pod with no trouble. But, I have never seen an Enclave towing any type of trailer and that has me a little concerned.
Does anyone tow their r pod with a v6 Buick Enclave? Or maybe a GMC Acadia (also v6)? If yes, how does it perform? Thanks,, Dez |

Welcome. What is the horsepower and torque for your engine? What is the towing capacity?

You are probably on the lower end of acceptable. My Sienna had 215 horsepower and we towed our pod from Maine to Florida - but those trips also showed me that it was underpowered to deal with strong headwinds even on flatlands.

I did a little more research and talked with my dealer and the horsepower is actually 288 hp. Towing capacity is 3500 lbs and tongue weight max is 400 lbs. I think this sounds OK for towing a 177 but wanted to get some opinions.

That is a lot more power than my jeep and the tongue weight max is more than you need. What year is it? Everything I find says the towing capacity should be 2000 without "towing package" and 4500 with..

Please don't take this wrong, but "dealers" are in fact often, wrong. Do you have an owners manual? If so turn to page 4-27.
