I was wondering if there was any interest in creating a binder containing all r.pod models both past and present?  I had originally planned on starting this project, compiling material, for the 2012 NE Roundup to share with other attendees.  Hopefully something like this would help future owners keep track of different models and changes to the rpods (such as the bathroom sink additions and inclusion of that "closet").

I have an old pamphlet and an old pdf I had downloaded sometime in 2010 when we were looking and was wondering what else was out there (rpod related lol) in everyone's computer?

Sounds like a great idea.  One key would be collecting floorplans, pics and specs for the models that are no longer on FR's web site.

Personal opinion only.................. I'd say it's probably not worth your time and effort, unless it's something you want to do for yourself.  Most folks, I'd expect, only care about the make/model/year of what they have.  Additionally, the lack of responses here probably are a good indication that the masses are not interested.

All that being said, I do have some info on the 2010 RP-151 which is no longer being made.  I should have the specs, floorplan and some pictures around here somewhere that you're more than welcome to have and publish.

Not sure that lack of response means no one is interested, this is the start of the slow season for camping and camping forums.  Info that you and g4royce may have on your two models will go a long way since they are the rarest.

I think that the interest level in a forum such as this may be somewhat subjective.  While those who are owners of Pods that are registered users here online may not be into it much, all of those guests (myself included for a long time) that come here to learn more about Pods may find such a gathering of information very useful.  I know I would have.

Our 152 was the first r.pod model launched and also the first one to be discontinued.  Anyone looking to buy anything in the 15* series would find it hard to find any information.

I was just thinking that we should collect any info while it's still out there Smile

I will look to see what information I have from 2008.  I gather all kinds of data before ordering and receiving my r-pod.  I have an early 2009 model with the white cabnets that less than 5% of all rpods came with.  Yes we ordered the r-pod in that way and waited 3 months for it.

If anyone has any info they would like to contribute including pdf files, I can start compiling the info and make binders as we go.  Luckily the r.pod pamphlet we have survived Sandy :)

Yes, 2009 was the first model year.

I will have to find my files from when we bought ours, I think I have a pamphlet in there.

For what it's worth, that retrospective could be invaluable for someone who's looking at the possibility of buying a used Pod.

I think it would be very interesting and also quite helpful when buying a used r-pod, which we did.  It would be helpful in deciding whether a new one with newer features, or a used one would suffice.

If anyone is interested in reviews, specifications and floor plans for the R-Pod model years 2009, 2010 and 2011, they are already available on the Roaming Times web site.  I referred to this site often before deciding on my used 2010 173.

Sleepless, thank you for the link a little bit of history if you read the posts that go a few years back. It gives about all the information one would need on all the different models of r-pods built.    David

You are more than welcome.  I actually read all the posts in the Forums before I decided on the R-Pod I bought.  There is a lot of reading and information here, but sometimes I just want to look at a particular model floor plan that is being discussed.  That is when I refer to Roaming Times.
