Fortunately I am able to store our 182g in a new pole barn out of the elements. My question is in this instance should I leave the slide all the way in, open it a bit to take the pressure off the seals, or slide it all the way out?  Thoughts? I'm sure I'll use it numerous times this winter and dry camp while doing outdoorsy stuff there so it won't get lonely!

No science here    ...just my personal answer to your question. I plan on taking it in and out now and then, provided I can get the cover up high enough. I don't think it's a good idea to leave it in either position for extended periods of time.

You may wish to coat the slider rubber seals with a 'slider-lubricant'. You can buy an aerosol can of it at Campers World. I usually use a cloth to wipe it over the seals once in the Spring and when I am putting the Pod to bed for the Winter. I also leave the slider in for the winter. If you look on the bottom of the slider...the seals don't completely seal the Pod when the slide is out. On my Pod there is just enough room for small vermin like field mice to squeeze in. The slide is quite tight when in.

We decided on in.. and with the cover it's a necessity, but I worried that the weight of it hanging out there for months at a time might bother the suspension.. We coat all our seals with some of the silicone spray we use in the dome track, just shoot some on a rag and go to wiping them down..

I agree on the strain if leaving it out over extended periods of time.  A good dressing for the seals was good also.

If you'er out of the elements and plan on using it over the winter, by all means, leave it out.  If you were a seasonal camper, it'd be out for 8-9 months straight, so leaving it out over the winter is not going to hurt anything.
