Has anyone figured out how to pull the a/c (Dometic) filters out without tearing them to pieces? I bought a new set but the old ones are near impossible to remove. One of them has been repaired with duct tape once already. Thanks.

I have never had any issues removing them, one side is a little harder to get back in than the other. It did take a few minutes to remember that they only go in one way, the lip that you pull with your fingers goes down and I have found that by keeping the filters level with the ceiling, holding them to the outside edge of the slot as you put them back in they slide in easier. We finally tackled the a/c filters again today, and won! We unscrewed the light fixture which is just in front of the a/c and it then gave us more wriggle room to pull out the filters. One was broken and the other was full of dust. A quick clean-up and replacement, and we're cool again. We'll have to remove the light fixture every time we clean the filters. Thanks for the replies.
