I have an adjustable water pressure regulator for my Rpod. Not knowing what the pressure that the internal piping on the Rpod should be I set it arbitrarily at 25 lbs. Although the pressure is just adequate I was wondering what the ideal pressure could be on the internal piping of the Rpod. Anyone have the answer? A quick check online says that typical home water pressures are 50-70 psi for city water, and 20-50 on a well pump. All of the plumbing and fixtures in a camper are compatible with home water pressure.

As always you're all a font of information. Will up the pressure on my regulator. Heading to Big Sur next week which is the Calif. Redwoods area on the coast just below fabled Montery and Carmel. I have a 40 psi pressure regulator. I stayed at one campground with average and one with high pressure. 40 psi was plenty. |

When we first went our with our 182G we didn't have a regulator and had some water leaking around the tap connectors to the back sink. I picked up gauge and it showed the pressure around 60 lbs. Picked up a regulator too and that has stopped any leaking. We've had a similar problem with well supplied campgrounds where they have high pressure to get the water around the loop or out to the last site. Our leak occurs at the inside connection to the entry connector. Turning down the volume alleviates the problem. Rather than do a death-defying get under the sink activity, why not pick up an adjustable water pressure unit with a guage built in. Can then change and moitor your pressure and adjust as needed.
