We are on our second trip and on the fourth day of our current trip.  Just went to make some coffee and get the cream, when I noticed the reefer was totally off.  Pushing the mode button did not work.  Looked at the inverter and didn't notice anything unusual.  We do have power to the pod.  Went back to the reefer and played with the mode button and then it lit up and showed that power for the reefer was on.  Any ideas why the reefer went off and then was able to fire it back up?

Hopefully the control board isn't going bad.  If this happens a few more times I would look into replacing it.

Is that a fairly common occurance?  And are the symptoms I'm experiencing, pointing to a defective control board?  Safe Travels.

Don't have an answer to your first question, and since everything is controlled electronically that is my best guess to your problem if it keeps occuring.

Don't believe so.  Called our dealer and he suggested putting it on gas until we return and they can take a look at it.  Best we can do.  He did mention that possibly the thermostat was defective but that wouldn't explain why the lights were off on the front.  Oh well, this is part of the fun of a shakedown cruise.  Safe Travels.

If the Power/Mode button was push or leaned up against for two seconds or more it could have been turned off and you would not have noticed it at all.   Goose     Just a thought.

I think where the reset is located that it would be pretty difficult to hit it by mistake.  Currently at the suggestion of the dealer, it is set on LP and seems to be fine.   Will travel this way till we return later today and empty all perishables.  Then will take it to the dealer tomorrow so they can play with it.  Safe Travels.
