 We had a wonderful time at McKinney Falls State Park - Austin, TX. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. Not crowed, easy access and great facilities. ------------- '12 r-pod 177 2008 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 V6 Father of 3 Boy Scouts and yes, we cram 5 family members in our 177! When is the next camping trip? Because I'm ready for a vacation! |

Nice shot of the pod, makes me want to get out there. 2 1/2 more weeks until our next trip. So anything interesting at that park? I assume from the name it has falls of some type?

thebegbe, my wife Donna was the same way, no way she was camping, she thought camping was going to a Holiday inn. I got her to go with me one time to Hoosier National forest, a typical federal site with trails, lakes, quiet camping areas and 4 fishing lakes. We bought a 2011 RP-172 and now she is a camping nut. I used to camp with our son in the back of a 1986 chev astro pulling our 14 foot aluminum fishing boat, fishing, camping , hiking, cooking fresh fish. then like you my beautiful wife discovered the quiet outdoors in our pod, we hike, fish, cook outside and have lots of quiet time, now she is always ready to head out in the pod, hang in there, she might come around.  ------------- Dane and Donna Smith 2011 RP-172 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer 4X4 lift kit prodigy wireless brake controller |
