Missouri has a abundance of nice state parks with great campgrounds. Arrow Rock, about 90 miles east of Kansas City is a town of less than 60 people that was once the largest city in MO after St. Louis. Lewis and Clark passed through in 1804. The town has been pretty well preserved and is representative of 1840's river towns. The state park is about 1/2 of the town. Great shaded campground, nice people, several of whom toured the pod.
