We have a 176 and love the entertainment center. One problem we have is when the AC system cycles on we can not hear the TV. We turn the volume up but then when the AC cycles off the sound is to loud.
I didn't want to wire in a second set of speakers so I recently found the Cables To Go Audio Unlimited 900MHz Wireless Shower Speaker with Dual Power Transmitter from Amazon around $89.00
This works great has a wireless cradle designed for MP3 player but with the cords included with the unit I plugged the cradle unit into the AV 2 jacks on the back of the TV. Then you take the wireless unit, that has legs on the bottom and the back, over to the dinette and we can hear perfectly. I may put up a hook to hang it on in the future.
The unit has a range of 150 feet so we can take it outside if we are listening to the radio or a CD. See pictures.
Cradle is the white unit with the blue light under the TV. Blue light means you have a perfect connections with the wireless unit.

I like the interior of the 177 better, cause my cereal stays on the table better in the mornings.
lol.
'tis hard to work around the noise of the a/c in such a small space. Luckily, we don't watch a lot of tv when camping.

You're right. I believe that air conditioner is the loudest I've ever owned! Great idea using wireless speakers.

Some one here a while back commented that they had replaced there unit because of a warranty issue with the new AC unit and it was two speed and significantly quieter. I am sure part of the problem with the AC is that it is such a small area. Clark

Mine has a 2-speed fan and even on its low setting I can't stand it. We have to leave the fan "on" all the time so we don't get jolted awake by the sound every time the A/C starts. There's a thread around here where I discuss an option for replacing it with something that is guaranteed very quiet (Sanyo mini-split system) and energy efficient but it comes at a steep cost.

I have the same problem. super loud AC, the lowest quality speakers they could find, and that little radio, even though the features are awesome, the sound quality is poor. I'm gonna wire two speakers over the dinette and and two outside. Roof AC's are not cheap, if this one goes (knock on wood it doesn't), I will be looking two those two piece ones. My neighbor had one on the side of his garage and that thing was a quiet as a window fan.
