A few weeks ago I got the Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT GPS to replace the one I had in my Jeep. This one has lifetime map upgrade and lifetime traffic warnings. One thing that is nice is it takes the little scan disk things. I can't think of what they are actually called!! So I picked up a 6GB one for pictures to put on the GPS. So far I love this thing. How does the traffic info match up to reality? I've looked at Google's traffic info a few times and compared it to our State's web site and it didn't match up in most places.

No coverage here! I suppose if I went to a large city or on the interstate it would work. I just haven't had the need to go there yet. I have updated the maps twice. All I have to do is hook it up to the computer and click on "check for updates". If there are updates it does the rest. | The traffic feature on my Magellan GPS has been spot on. I suspect all of them use the same infrastructure. But you do need to be near the city for them to do any good. It doesn't help with the Mayville 3:30 to 3:35 rush "hour." |
