As I am an "athletic sleeper".. about the 17th time I kicked the blinds last Sunday night.. we started thinking about at least putting curtains in the "bedroom"..

We removed ours and put up curtains pretty quickly.  Couldn't stand hitting and kicking them every night.  And the curtains look so much nicer too.  I made these for our Pod one weekend for our windows.

I got tension rods (spring-loaded curtain rods) to hang them, they stay up by friction on the inside of the "box" above the window.  Not sure what its real name is.

Ok thank you
that's what I had in mind but I was not sure that'll work well.

We're also just using small tension curtain rods to go on the inside of the window boxes.  Works and holds very well!

Too much?..

Restless Leg Syndrome.  A condition where you have an uncontrollable sensation/need to move your legs when you are sitting or laying.  For some it is so bad they need medication to control it, not alway successfully.

No RLS here (but I've experienced it a few times, enough to be happy that I don't have RLS), just miniblinds literally hanging where my feet are while laying down to sleep.  Bye bye miniblinds!

Been checked for it (RLS).. the test isn't a lot of fun.

My "sleeping disorder" is believed to be a side effect/left over from my 20 years in the Army. My wife is just glad I no longer wake up 2-5 times a night and check the perimeter. Took about 7 years or so for that to end, though I still often wake at least one time a night and walk through the house/look out the windows.. I tell her I am just making sure the trees are all still there.

We got rid of our blinds this weekend as well. After the roundup wife decided she like curtains better and for me I dont have to dust the blinds anymore. Sounds like a win win situation for me.

Glad to hear you're doing better.

I used to wake up at home and look out the window to check if the anchor had dragged.
