Well we took Goofy out for his first trip since last fall to the Pennyrile State Park here in KY. While we were there we noticed a new RPOD pulling into the site and setting up. We went over to introduce ourselves and found out that thiers was a rental from the MWR office at Fort Campbell. Seem they have replace their popups with RPODS. I hope to get picture posted of our trip in the next couple of days. We stayed in the new horse camp grounds which have much larger sites than normal.

Interesting.  I guess they are hoping for fewer problems - newbies and popups don't mix well, with all the extra steps necessary.  Especially since some steps must be done in order and parts can be finicky.

Yes, well I hope they print out better manuals for their renters than the ones we were given!

Actually the renters are required to go through a class at MWR before they can get the trailers or at least that was the policy with the pop ups. I am guessing that policy remains the same. I know when I rented from them and this was years ago I had to go through set up and tear down classes and then pass a backing test before I was allowed to pick up my trailer the first time. I think I still have my card on that somewhere.
