How do you guys carry extra gas?  I mean those of you with SUVs?  I was wondering if someone made a gas can carrier that fits around the back spare tire.  I'd like to carry a little extra gas, even if it is only 3 gallons for the Yamaha genny, but I don't want to carry it in either the SUV or the pass-through storage.

I have thoughts of carrying ours in the battery rack beside the battery. The gas can we have fits right into the rack, just need a strap and we're good.

I just put an extra battery on my Pod, so I'm going to have to figure something else out.  I have seen those spare tire kits that people are putting on their jeeps, but I'm not sure that would work for the Pod.

Speaking of which, I really need to get to a weigh station or scale... I'm going to be pretty close to max... maybe... by the time I'm done.  Shocked

Here's the link to the spare tire gas can carrier if you'd like to see what I'm talking about.  It will hold a jerry can against the spare...

Secretbard, I hope you are not going to drive the NJ Tpk or Other similar roads. There are big signs saying carrying gas in cans is illegal on the Tpk entrances! Hate to have them tow you off.

Thanks for telling me.  No, I haven't installed any gas carrying devices as of yet.  I might have to rethink this gas carrying thing.  Wink
