This is a dumb question, but how do you know you have water in the hot water heater? when you fill the fresh water tank does that also fill the heater ?

+1 for LunaPod The water heater fills from the bottom with the line out on the top. When water is flowing from the hot tap, the water heater tank is full. ------------- Craig :: 2009 RP171 towed by a 2017 F150 |

If you are hooked to city water you don't have to turn on your pump, just open the hot water faucet in the sink unitl it stops sputtering. I recommend doing this at home before dry camping or you will use 6 gallons of your fresh water tank just filling the water heater.
