Well, we took our new little Pod back to the dealer today. When we hooked up, we looped the electrical cord around the tongue so the weight was supported and it came in at a higher angle. It is so long that there was still enough play for corners. That is all it needed. The service guy actually looped it a slightly different way, but it held for the trip both ways over the lovely pot holed freeway this time! We'll take the duct tape along on trips, just in case!Big smile Thanks for all the input from everyone! We'll be taking it out for a nearby trip to the coast in a couple of weeks for our trial run.  We were happy that our 1998 Toyota Sienna did fine over the pass into the Central Valley, too. We'll be real "happy campers"!

Mine is looped over the tongue once, too.  Glad you found a solution that works.

We are a bit surprised that the service guy who did the hook up and walk through with us didn't do that before we left. I wonder if he isn't used to doing that part.  Anyway, it is all well now!

This morning while we were hooking up to go, the garbage truck driver stopped to ask about the pod and to get a grand tour. He was quite excited about the floor plan and really liked the pod. Maybe we'll see some others besides ours on the road soon!

Has anyone had any experience with a wireless brake controller called the Innovator trailer mounted wireless brake controller for an RPOD? http://www.whatsstoppinyou.net/

The dealer we purchased our POD from had a bit of trouble getting the standard hard wired brake contrller to work on with our Toyota Highlander hybrid and so put on the Innovator wireless. No problems so far except that the headlights must be turned on to activate the brake controller.

Confused

Don't know anything about the Innovator wireless brake controller.  I have a Tekonsha wireless brake controller.  The R-Pod dealer didn't want to mess with hard wiring my new Mercedes, so we went with the wireless controller that plugs into the cigarette lighter.

I like it.  It makes it easy for my Pod to be pulled with any of the vehicles on our farm as long as the controller is plugged into the cigarette lighter of whichever tow vehicle is used.

Maybe someone else on the forum can tell you something that is more specific to the Innovater.

We also have used the Tekonsha wireless controller before when we were first test driving the Rpod to see how we liked it.  Found it very convenient.
