We own a 2017 Rpod and thanks to John M and his great posts, we discovered why our floor was buckling at the bumpout. The side wall had dropped almost an inch and there were no supports (outriggers, as John called them) I had a friend weld up some supports and I installed 4 at the bumpout. Attaching pictures.(I hope) When I got to checking the floor inside, it was wet under the linoleum almost to the door! I have taken up the rotted luan and will replace it all once I a sure there is not a leak. Turned into a bit more of a project than I had hoped. I do have a question: How does the floor connect to the side wall? There appears to be a groove that that top layer of luan fits into, but mine was so rotted, it is hard to tell. Any help is much appreciated.
I could not copy and paste pictures....is there another way?
Thanks!

Hello JRS,
Sorry to hear about the problem. We had a 2016 RP-179 with the same issue of sagging under the slide-out. Like you, I added outriggers. I did not have the water issue though. As far as I know, the side walls bolt to the floor. I can't verify whether there is a groove or not as I have never taken the sidewall loose to look.
What I can do is try to help you with pictures. First off, from the initial editor, you can't do this. Look for the icon that looks like two overlapping boxes with an arrow that points to the top-right corner. That opens the advanced editor, which has more functions. One of those looks like a painting. If you select that, it opens a dialog where you can browse for a picture, select, and then upload it. It is then available for the messages you post. One hint though is to use an image editor and scale the image to 800x600 or 600x800 or the closest you can, but not really more than 1024x768. This keeps the image sizes smaller which makes them quicker to load for someone viewing them. Plus, they can display fully without scroll bars.
I hope this is helpful for you.
Stephen

I have the same problem. Small leak when slide is closed but not open. I noticed when slide is closed it is dropped on one side. I see NO outriggers underneath. Is that my problems? I also took up linoleum and it was shocking how much it had been leaking and wet.

Yes, very likely. I think they put them on in later years...ours is a 2017. I just finished replacing most of the top luan, screwing it to aluminum supports and gluing is with construction adhesive. I put down carpet tiles, which was easy (and warmer on these cold feet). Watching now for any leakage.

It is possible that when the slide is retracted, that the slide top or the tracks for the mechanism are tilted in which would allow water to run in. Also, you may wish to check the condition of the rubber wipers around the slide-out. They may be deteriorated. I regularly used rubber seal conditioner on the seals, which kept them in better shape than they would have been otherwise. Still, I found that the flap would get tucked in, possibly leaving gaps for water to intrude.
I'm not saying that is the problem, just something to check. I wish you success.

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is great for scaling photos. It has many of the features of Photoshop, but it is open-source, not commercial. It also does not cost anything to download and use.

It isn't too difficult. Don't let all the options intimidate you. The one you need for scaling is Image/Scale Image. Then you can try some of the auto options under Colors/Auto. If you don't like what you see, you can always revert with CTRL-Z. If you want to circle something, you have the paintbrush/pencil tool. Anyway, I hope that will help get you started.
As for uploading a picture, go to the advanced editor (the overlapping box icon with the arrow inside) which will then give you an icon (picture) that you can select to upload your picture for use in the forum. I find 800x600 is a good size for uploading. It is a good compromise of viewability and file size.

I use a tool called https://www.getpaint.net/index.html - Paint.net .
Very easy to use, and easy to learn.

In which program? If it is the GIMP, load your picture. Select "Image" on the menu bar. On the drop-down menu, select "Scale Image" and use the dialog to adjust the size. When you finish, the image will be downsized. Then all you need to do is export it to either a .jpg or .png image for use on the forum.

If you're in paint.net
Select the menu item Image->Resize
Then you can select a percentage or pixel size.

Got the floor all repaired and put down carpet tiles. The slideout operates without all the straining noises and dragging the floor like it did. Still trying to downsize pictures with print.net....I am not too savvy, I guess. Thanks.
