Just got a new 2025 RP-203.  Had a couple driveway nights and looking forward to getting it out soon.  Excited to join the club and get some miles underway.

Congratulations and welcome to your 24/7 owners manual (this forum)!  You did the right thing by camping out in your driveway, excellent.  That way you know what you need, and what is likely unnecessary per your camping habits.  Do you normally camp at places that have electricity or boondock?  Regardless, make a lot of great memories as you enjoy that new 203.

I'm used to tent camping, so this is a little glamorous.  Probably start off with power and water and go from there.  Gotta keep the kids interested and not throw them into the fire just yet.

But definitely hoping to get up to northern MI next summer with it, I see you're near Torch Lake.  We usually hang out on Elk Lake, but the chain of lakes are so pretty.

Whitewater Township Park is quite popular for camping on Elk Lake, (west side) just south of Elk Rapids.  Closer to us (10 minutes away) is Barnes Park on Lake Michigan, beautiful sites, some with Lake Michigan views that you may wish to check out before your next trip up north.  Both parks have electric, I don't think either have water to hook up to although they both have water to fill your FW tank.

Welcome and congratulations on your new RPod! I hope you and your family have many fun adventures and make many great memories with it. While we have moved to a different Forest River product, we have many memories made with the R_Pod 179.

+1 We have moved on from our Rpod but have many fond memories of our 2016 179. Enjoy your camper and be safe.
