Hi...'22, r.pod 202...heading to the Fall Talladega race in a few weeks. First timer. Have a gravel with water hookup spot. Lots of propane for my Predator 5000W. Anybody camped out there for race weekend and care to offer any tips? We're in a "quiet" spot from 0000-0600 so gen will be off. I'm more concerned about the "operations" aspect; getting in and setting up, general safety & theft, logistics, etc. But all advice is appreciated.

I have not been there, but I can answer some of your questions.

Set-up:  Depends on which refrigerator you have. If it is a two or three way absorption refrigerator, you need to get the trailer leveled in both side-to-side and front-to-back directions. It should be within 3 degrees. More than that and it can affect operation of the refrigerator. If it is a compressor refrigerator, the tolerance is about the same as what you would like. Don't run the refrigerator on battery if it is a propane model. Use propane so you can save the battery life for other things like lighting.

General safety & theft:  Just don't leave valuables lying around if you are not going to be there. Don't make it easy for potential thieves to take your stuff. Put a hitch lock on the trailer for when you are not going to be there. A hitch lock will make you feel more secure. I used this one on the RPod with the 2" hitch. When I moved up to a different trailer, I purchased the 2-5/8" model. You can pay a LOT more, but this has been adequate for me so far.

I hope you have a fun trip.

If you want the best (imho) hitch lock, check out Proven Industries.  Their video shows how easy it is to compromise the top models of hitch locks on the market in less than 20 seconds, with the exception of their lock.  Not cheap, when I purchased mine, about 6 years ago it was $ 200 on eBay.
