Good Afternoon All,

We have a 2015 RPOD 171 and upon returning from a camping trip this past weekend we noticed that the screws holding the diamond checker plate and the front corner trim came off and the corners are peeling apart from the front plywood.

I am decently handy and before I got too much into trying to repair I wanted to do some more research into the construction behind the front and if this is acheiveable? Is the vinyl wrap extended to the bottom of the camper and underneath the black plate? If so I don't think I'd have the expertise to repair it all.

The plywood appears so rotted that none of the screws are holding, the thought was to just cut that area and replace.

We also had heavy rainfall and I just uncovered beneath the front of the trailer under the dinette that the floor is extremely molded and pretty damp in the same corner.

Anyone had experience with this before? Sorry for the large images

I had a 2013 178 R-Pod and had the same problem. Tried to self repair and failed. Things just got worse the more I traveled. Ended up trading in the pod for a Heartland North Trail. The dealer gave me 1 dollar for the Pod.
Good Luck

Thanks Winter! I am going to the local trailer shop today just to get an opinion. Looks like I may be able to save the plywood under the dinette instead of replacing. The front peeling is the bigger issue.

Any other experiences are welcomed. I've seen a few posts as well similiar to yours where someone has tried to repair and either failed or gave up and sold it.

For anyone curious and for future reference....

I went to the trailer repair shop last week and they admitted there isn't much you can do about that without sending it in for a full blown repair worth over the value of the trailer, best they would do is get longer screws to secure the front again and then seal it back up with trim and sealant.

Any recommendations on the sealant would be much appreciated and if I get an adhesive type to glue the front up back together or just a caulking on the outside after screws? Any information on this would help further..
