This post is directed at StephenH. While I'm at it, thank you StephenH for your many helpful podmod posts, so many of which I have added to our 2016-1/2 179.

I am about to replace the tiny sink in our Pod with the same Elkay unit you installed but I have some questions before I start cutting up the countertop.

Were you able to install the sink clamps along the front and back of the sink or did the cabinet cleats get in the way?

How many clamps did you end up using?

The link you provided for the flexible tailpiece no longer seems to work. Do you remember which brand it was and where you got it?

I am pretty sure I put clamps on all edges. I think the screws were long enough to allow placing them on the cleats. Unfortunately, I can't look as I no longer have the 179. As for the flexible tailpiece, look in the plumbing section of your local Lowe's or Home Depot. I am pretty sure you can find a flexible tailpiece at one of them.

Thanks for the reply. I chickened out and decided to only replace the faucet. The Elkay sink isn't that much bigger than the stainless steel undermount sink that came with the trailer. We will probably upgrade to a bigger trailer in the next few years anyway.

That's pretty much the norm around here.

Seems that way doesn't it? The 179 has served us well but a Lance 2075 will be a nice upgrade. We traded a 2013 Nissan Frontier in for a 2023 Silverado 1500 turbo-diesel that can tow up to 9,000 lbs. The new truck tows the R-Pod like it's not even there.
