On mine the screws are under the fabric on both ends. Haphazardly screwed in on different angles. Replaced shade with a blackout from blinds galore. They will sent sample colors before ordering. Original shades were an ash gray but each company has their own colors. I used powerful very thin magnets to remount valance. Solid enough that a portable speaker can be placed on top and they don’t fall down while driving. There should be 4 screws attaching the valances to the wall 1 in the upper corner of each end of the valance and another one on the bottom of both ends. They are buried under the cloth. This includes all the valances in my 179 other the one mounted under the storage cabinet, which is attached to the cabinet. If the reason you are taking the blinds down is to restring them, check youtube you will find there are a couple good videos on restringing the blinds. It's not a difficult job. Jon, once you take those chintzy blinds off you may consider changing them out for something a bit nicer and quieter. We replaced the ugly back curtain on our 177 ten years ago with a 2x cellular shade from Blinds.com. They carry a plethora of styles, colors, ect. to match whatever your tastes may be. Also three years ago we got tired of hearing the clack, clack of the metal shades whenever the wind blew so back to Blinds.com we went and replaced all 5 of those metal buggers with 1" wide wooden blinds. Much quieter! The only downside one may have (we don't) with these is when they are all the way in the up position they still hang about 2-3" below the bottom of the valence. Good evening Lear 111 The screws that hold the valance up are usually a maintenance project every trip. I use a long reach screwdriver and a lot of bad words. Where did you get the magnets for your valances that replaces the screws, that sounds like a very simple solution. Thanks a lot. ------------- 2021 Rpod 180 2006 Ridgeline

Good afternoon Steve I have ordered the magnets you suggested and will take pictures of magnet valance attachment installation. This should make it easy to remove the valances for cleaning blinds, or splatters. Forest River used magnets to hold up the exterior compartment doors and those are still very functional after two years in the sun. Thank you very much.
