I purchased a new 192 a year ago. I was told that it was solar prepped. The other day my Son climbed up on the roof and found the wiring connector was installed but not the panel mounting brackets for the roof. Does this sound correct?

Yes. Understand that the “solar prep” just means that there are 2 wires running from the roof connection, through the cabin, to the battery.

In order to use these wires, you will need:

Solar panels
solar cable
Solar cable crimping tool
4mm solar cable connections
Solar controller
Inline fuse

The solar wires run through a cabinet in the cabin. You will cut the wires and install the solar controller and fuse inline between the roof connectikns and the battery.
