Hey guys, trying to get ready for my first trip.
For the refrigerator, the freezer compartment works fine on battery, but the fridge part seems have trouble going down in temp, even after a prolonged time.
Tested shore power, both cooled down pretty fast.
Anything I should check? thanks.

Unless you want to kill your battery fast, run on shore power if available or propane. I made that mistake the first night out on a long trip with dual 6V GC2 batteries and they still did not last the night.

Edit: I think you are referring to a 3-way refrigerator, not an DC/AC only model. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I did the same, awakened by my CO detector complaining of low juice.

Luckily, I brought a backup battery so I could get the slide closed.

Thank you guys.  The one is indeed 3-way.
I agree shore power works the best if available.
I was more testing the 12v (and propane later to make sure they are ok. )

About the only use for the refrigerator's 12 power is if you want to avoid using propane while driving. As long as it is connected to a running T.V. you would be okay. However, if you stop, you would want to switch it to propane pretty quickly if you are not plugging into shore power. Otherwise, you risk running down the battery. Even in that case, use of 12V power depends on your T.V. Not all of them supply adequate power to both run the refrigerator and charge the battery at the same time.
