When charging my battery with cord to the house should the battery disconnection switch be on or off?  Any help is appreciated.

Minimum, turn the switch off.  Or you can disconnect the negative side of the battery.

If you are charging the battery with an AC power cord connected to the R-POD AC receptacle  - you are powering the R-POD’s internal AC-to-DC converter. You need to leave the red battery cut off switch ON to get the battery to charge.

If you are charging the battery with a separate 12V DC battery charger plugged into your house (like used to recharge a car battery) then you need to leave the battery cut off switch OFF.

Hopefully this clears things up.

It’s a large red switch located near the battery at the front driver side of newer R-Pods. Older R-Pods do not have a switch.
