I have a r-pod 196. I went to grease the bearings and noticed there was no rubber cap on one side covering the zerk fitting. I bought a new rubber cap but cant install it as the serk fitting sticks out a little bit past
the dust cap. Is this normal? I bought this camper new in 2021.

What you describe is normal. You may want to compare the cap you purchased with the one that you already have on the other wheel to make certain they are identical. If so, be patient with the one you purchased, get it good and warm if it is cold outside (let it sit in some hot water for a minute to soften the rubber), it should slide in the groove quite easily.
