We are the second owners of a 2016 RP-180 and are having to replace our WF-8955 converter.  Has anyone upgraded to a WF-8965 or would anyone see any problem in doing so?  Thanks for any response.

Tom

Why would you want to or need to upgrade the converter? It is wired for the WF-8955. You would need to check the wiring to see if it would support the added load of the 8965.

+1. The higher current of the 8965 would likely require heavier gauge wire all the way to the battery and larger fuses. Also I think the converter/battery fuses are circuit board mounted, in which case you could burn out the traces on the board as well. And what is the benefit from doing it?
