I have a problem with the thermostat in my 2015 RPod 178 and can't seem to find a replacement.  Right now, if you turn on the A/C it comes on and runs fine, but when it gets to the cutoff temp, it cuts off but won't come back on when the temp rises.  If you turn it off then back on it will come on and run for a while but not long enough.  Currently it has a Dometic MK 1250 thermostat.  Any one have experience in this area or a suggestion?

I can't find info in that particular thermostat but typically the tstats for these are bory open and just provide a contact closure when calling for cooling. If you can confirm that then you can just test by manually closing the connection between the two tstat wires to confirm proper a/c operation and then replace the tstat with any other basic tstat which provides that contact.

Thanks for the info.  You used the word bory in your comment.  What does that mean?

Oh, you must have meant black, orange, red, yellow.  This is what happens when the wife offers to send the messages and hasn't a clue!LOL

No.  Ours is a 12 volt, 3-wire.  Any suggestions?

Sorry, big fingers on a phone keyboard and a poor spell checker. I meant "normally open". Most tstats have normally open contacts which close when calling for heating or cooling.

We had a similar problem in our 179 and we correlated it to showering with the bathroom door open, with just the shower curtain pulled across the opening (the thermostat was right outside the door). Once we went to always showering with the door closed, the problem never resurfaced. Apparently, the thermostat was sensitive to moisture.
