Hello all from Mount Vernon, WA. Recently retired and recently purchased a used 2016 RPOD 179. We upgraded from an A-frame because we/she needed a toilet. Makes sense.
Glad to find this forum!

Welcome aboard WW.  Enjoy your 24/7 online owners manual.  Make a lot of memories with that 179; that is a great floor plan.  Huge upgrade from the a-frame especially will be noted during inclement weather as there is nothing to put up, install, or take down with your 179 except for your corner jacks and wheel chocks which you already had to deal with your previous camper.  Enjoy!

Hello WW and welcome! I hope you have many fun adventures with your new-to-you RP179 and make many great memories also.

That is the year and model of ours also. Every once in a while I look at the newer, bigger models, and decide that sticking with our EscaPOD is the best option. We have put many, many miles on it and intend to put many more on it.

Since it is the same year and model, perhaps some of the mods I have done will be of interest to you. Check out the link in my signature to see them.

Hey WW, the wife and I purchased a 178 in February. Not sure if you're aware of the one of the most common problems with R Pods that have slide outs.  You may want to Google "R Pod outriggers" and look at some You Tube videos about "outrigger" issues. I just posted a new topic today "Outrigger debacle". Your 179 may have the outriggers but you may to crawl underneath and take a peek.

Good luck
