Our 2018 Rpod 190 had the fender break loose after hitting uneven pavement. I reinstalled the fender after filling the original screw holes in the fiberglass. It is now ~1/2" higher with new stainless steel self tapping screws and double sided adhesive tape between the fender and the the Rpod body. So, the next trip out the fender gets bumped again by the tire and I lost about 4 of the screws (see photo). Any suggestions on how to better mount the fender back on the Rpod? |

I think you're using the standard fender mounting approach. Be sure to clean everything really well and use a lot of pressure when using the pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes. If you don't the adhesive won't kick and the fender will come loose. If you can't get enough pressure then use a different adhesive. Something like 3M 5200 is flexible and water resistant but adheres well to most things.
It sounds like you also need a lift kit on your rpod axle. They add about 3.5 inches of height which should provide enough clearance. ------------- 1994 Chinook Concourse 1995 RV6A Experimental Aircraft 2015 Rpod 179 - sold |

offgrid, Thanks for the suggestions to use the 3M 5200 sealant. I pulled the fender off yesterday, raised it again about a 1/3" and used the 3M product rather than double sided foam tape. It looks and feels more secure now. Headed off for a 3 night trip to Mt. Nebo State Park in AR, let's hope this repair "sticks" this time.

TheBum, I agree, adhesive only would have been a concern as well. I used stainless steel self tapping screws plus the adhesive. I'm pleased with the results and after a trip to Mt. Nebo State Park in Arkansas the fender held up well. Thanks for your comments.
